Considering a 96' 850 sedan, what's the big stuff?

I have my dealer check possible purchases. They are willing to run the car through their certification check for two hours labor - add an hour for a compresion check.

I get a two page report on weither or not everything works properly.

Last month I had a '95 BMW 525iT (station wagon) checked by a dealer - cost me $160 - they wanted $200 more for a compression check (which I passed on).

The result? The car needs $2400 in parts and $4000 in labor to bring it up to snuff. No buy. Money well spent IMHO.

Dealer or indie, you need a mechanic you trust, have him check it out.

I think that most Volvo repairs are big!
