Blinking arrow 850 1994

Help!

I am out $270.00 and the arrow is still blinking.

Recently moved to a smaller town in Colorado and am missing the crew at Independent Volvo in Albuquerque.

Problem:
-The mechanic has not been able to see the arrow in action. When I drop off the car it is fine.
-The arrow starts blinking and the check engine light comes on. Zero codes come up when the mechanic has the car. He is uncertain about what to do to fix it. I am limited as to where I can take the car.

Any suggestions?
