I repalced the Alt. on my 93 this winter. I found a nice source at thepartsbin.com. $215 for a rebuilt Bosch including freight. Spent several hours to do the swap, removing the Power steering pump is a must. I removed the tensior brackets as well just to clear up more room to work but you can get by without doing all that. Poking around after the Alt was removed I found the inner brush had worn a groove about 1/8" deep into the armerature causing my failure. Keep track of what you remove and remember to tighten all fasteners when done, I had to go back for one I just snugged up when I was done.
