Audio Upgrade completed 850 1997

I've been toying around with upgrading my SC-815 as well, but am reluctant to go aftermarket. My SC-815 has a tendency to skip over broken surfaces, but an upgrade to an SC-816 hasn't seemed worth the price. Now, an upgrade to an SC901 is a different story. I had often wondered if that was possibility for an 850, so I have a few questions.

1) Did you need to modify the dash to accept the SC901?
2) Where did you place the amplifier?
3) Did you consider an aftermarket amplifier?
4) What is the part # for the wiring harness and how much?
5) Where did you find the SC901?
