When my S40 is cold and I open the throttle all the way, I get a horrible stumble before shifting into 2nd. It's not so much a tranny problem, but the engine starts misfiring terribly and you can even smell gas. Dealer can't reproduce it (because it's hot when I drive it there) and I guess the car will eventually die with the problem. What a deal; another satisfied S40 owner.
