I used IPD's recommended method. Get a fuel pressure gauge, a Tee fitting and one of those large syringes connected with lengths of 1/4" tubing from any autoparts store to apply pressure to the wastegate and adjust the wastegate rod in the fully closed position at 6-8 psi on the fuelpressure gauge. Take the normal hose off from the wastegate pressure regulator and plug in the hose Tee'd off from the fuelpressure/syringe hose setup. Apply 6-8 psi of pressure with the syringe (as read on the fuelpressue guage) and adjust the rod end so that it just drops over the regulator arm pin exactly with the wastegate fully closed, then snug down the locknut on the wastegate rod and replace the clip and original hose and you're done. If you adjust it to more than 9 psi you'll get a Check Engine light under heavy accelerations. So just use between 6-8 psi. This is IPD's recommend method of adjusting the wastegate. Basically it is saying you will keep the wastegate closed until the turbo produces at least 8 psi of positive pressure before you start to open. This generally improves the low rpm response and eliminates turbo-lag. Good luck ........ Mike
