Instruction on replacing tailgate struts on wagon? 850 1995

I just did this replacement (got the struts off of Ebay for $40). I found that I needed to remove those two bolts and take off the metal piece in order to get the strut end on to the "ball". I could pop the old strut off, but couldnt get the new one on. Removed the two bolts, popped the strut on the ball, screwed the two bolts back in, and I was good to go.

Thanks to Brickboard for having the instructions sitting there - I wouldnt have known that I could do the job myself without you guys.
