Fuel Gage 850 1996

I have a very erratic fuel gauge in my 940. I don't mean inaccurate, I mean dead wrong. It'd indicate almost empty when I know there is more than half-full, then without filling up, it'd go back to seemingly accurate level.

I just reset the trip meter after each fill-up, and refill when it gets to 300 miles. You can do something similar, rather than spending money to get it fixed.
