You could do it yourself. The hardest part would probably be getting the old tip off since the screw on the bottom is probably rusted. You may want to squirt some WD-40 on it and see if it comes loose. As for myself I had the dealer do it because they had the part I needed, so I killed two birds with one stone and had them install it. Shouldn't be expensive, probably $40-50 for the tip. I'm currently using an oval stainless steel tip from an S70. My square tip rusted as well, so I had it replaced. But, since I'll be getting my Turbo chipped and get a full 2.5" exhaust soon, I'm may get the tip replaced yet again since I'm changing the whole thing.
