Used 1998 S70 (base version) what to look for ? S70 1999

I'd recommend looking for a 1999 or 2000 S70 because these have fewer known issues than the '98s. I have read frequent reports of ABS module failures and A/C evaporator failures on the 98, but have seen none so far for 99/00. Also, the 98 requires an electronic tool to reset the Check Engine light at oil change intervals while the 99/00 can be reset by pressing the trip meter and turning the key. The 99/00 also has 'drive by wire' throttle, but this may turn out to be a disadvantage.
