V70 oil drain plug

im sure whoever changes their own oil on their V70 , or V70 AWD knows how fast and furious the oil drains out. im looking for hints to drain this down. im thinking of making an elbow out of steel gas line. what does anyone think? any other suggestions? anyone know a solvent to this?
