Qs about NEW CD Changer 850 1997

I was thinking of buying the ALPINE CHA-S634 changer to use with my SC901 system. Since it looks like the same size as the OEM unit and is likely a newer model to the OEM unit(SCH-S620 I think?), wondering if it will interface with my radio? THE main reason I want this model # is it's ability to play MP3 in addition to CD-R and CD-RW!!! Anyone using this setup with success?? Would I need to get any cables from dealer even thou my car is pre-wired in the trunk?!?! Thanks for any help!!!
