Common problem on the 96's. May I suggest that you file a complaint with the National Highway Traffics Safety Administration. www.nhtsa.org Volvo refuses to recall this safety defect that has plagued many 850's. Mine went out over the winter and I lost ABS and Tracs in a snowstorm.
