Current Drain 850 1993

Quite a bit of the electrical equipment in your car does not get to use curent without the cooperation of your ignition switch.

I have seen several posts that find that the trunk light in sedans and the glove box light in all models are the primary suspects.

In my case, I disconnected the battery and put a current meter in the circuit. I propped it on one of the wipers so that I could read it from inside the car. I then pulled the fuses one by one until the reading went down.

The culprit in my case was the switch in the glove box. Removing the bulb did not do the trick, the switch was defective.
