AC problem 850 1996

Don't waste your time replacing sensors. First check to see if electrical power is getting to the compressor clutch. If so the problem which is quite common with Volvo compressors is a bad thermo switch inside your compressor. It cannot be fixed and the compressor must be replaced. At first you won't notice the problem unless you live in a tropical climate. The problem will only happen when the ambient temperature is very warm. The condition will worsen until the A/C will cut off at 75 degrees.
