Hi ya,

This is the fuel pump running that you can properally here when you switch hte ignition to position II. Do all you dash warning lights come on as well with the sound then that is what it is. I always start my car that way, turn the key to II wait a couple of seconds of the fuel pressure to build up then fire her up.
