That happened to me on my honda that i used to have.

Its your ignition KEY. What happens it gets worn down and doesnt work properly.
After that happened to me I simply used my valet key and that problem never happened again. But I also had to replace my starter too because what happens it stays engaged on your fly wheel and it will burn out

It happened to me on a cold night and I had no tools so it was stuck in the start position. Drivable with no accessories. And quite loud. I got home and had to disconnect the battery. I eventually manage to get the key out. Never used that key again.
