A/C question S70 2000

A dealer would tell you the whole A/C compressor needs to be replaced. An indy mechanic would try to rewire the compressor to aviod what is 'usualy' a bad sensor/temp. switch in the compressor. However, if you take a look round this board you will see multiple people that had to replace the whole A/C compressor for a cost of $1500 to below $1000. This was a problem with the 850 model that was never fixed and is now appearing with regularity in the S70's.

Yes, I'm getting fed up with my volvo.
