transmission failure S80 1999

My heart goes out to you. I just got a warning for my transmission at 82,000 miles ant they are suggesting I may need a new transmission as well. I have been driving Volvo's since 1975 and I have never had to have a transmission replaced. It looks like I'm going to have to find another brand of vehicle to purchase. I really should have known it is just a Ford in disguise. My daughters ford transmission just died as well.
