an 850 may just be as much of a pain and $$ if it has not been well taken care of....some things to look out is clunky suspension, ac (at 70k, tends to go), interior rattles...since it's non-turbo, the drivetrain (other than the microswitch which is on the technical service bulletin) and engine should hold up fairly well...

similar boxiness aside...it's quite a different car compared to the older 700...
