Seen this MANY times..... 850 1994

I've had wiper transmissions and motors off those as well for other problems such as bad motors or broken wiper trans linkage so yes, I'm very familiar with the whole wiper system and there's no rocket science involved as it's a very basic device. Re-bending the bent arm back is not a "band-aid" fix either. The metal simply gets bent the first time because something obstructs it, bends it to begin with. We see it often in winter when snow and ice causes it to bend. Wiper arms are not made to shovel heavy snow and should also be broken loose when frozen with ice BUT people don't realize that and that's why most bend. Those arms don't just bend by themselves, something is causing that. The metal doesn't loose its strength simply by being re-bent (it's not "white metal") and doing that harms nothing. I've been doing that ever since 850s first came out and had observed the problem and seeing the same cars for repeat business (other maintenance, repairs, etc) I can assure anyone that the same arms aren't just re-bending back to "bent again" all by itself from normal use.

If anyone isn't happy by simply bending that arm and adjusting (IF need be), one can always buy a new arm but it's a waste of money.
