I'm not an expert here, in fact, I'm looking at V70 XC's. However, check out the red '98 or '99 V70R XC on ebay motors at some dealership in Jersey. It has 49K miles on it. Go down into the explanation of the auto and it's a lemon law car that Volvo had to reposess from the customer over transmission and stalling problems. They replaced the transmission, cleaned up the throttle assembly and re-did some throttle software. It's worth taking a look.
