S80 Surging at Idle S80 2000

Recently had similar problem w/ a 2000 S80, only at idle. The first time they replaced the MAF sensor. Two weeks later problem started again, it would occur when blower unit was on. Symptom was that idle was too low. The paperwork they gave me says they performed a software download per Tech Note 28-35. Description is UPGRADE ECM BP, FP Number 8691303-5. Occurred at 39k miles.
This seems to have resolved the problem... i hope. /c
