Fluid loss? V70-XC70 1998

Yep, can just happen to older cars. Check your brake fluid level as that's where the clutch gets its fluid and look under the car where the trans bolts to the engine. If the slave cylinder is leaking, brake fluid will be dripping from the trans bellhousing. Don't try driving the car as is as that's how people then ruin their costly transmissions.
Another place where fluid can leak is the clutch master cylinder but that'll leak on the inside and fluid should then be dripping on your shoe.
