SIde mirror paint 850 1993

Well, Yesterday I managed to blast a section of paint off the side mirror while washing it. I assume i had a paint chip that allowed the wash water under the finish. Any way, Should I have the mirrors removed and repainted by a professional, or should I buy a can of spray paint from IPD and call it good. Has anyone else need to repair the mirrors on their 850.
