>Hi. A balljoint should have -0- play as ideal.
If there's noticeable movement,it needs to be replaced.
Repair can be deferred untill your next service as long as car drives ok.
You'll notice wandering,tire wear,etc. when it gets excessively worn.
Not really a safety issue as long as car remains controllable.
