Don't know, if all the engines are built in Sweden, all the automatic transmissions are built in Japan, all the headlights in Germany, circuit boards in Italy etc. So there's no real reason for a car assembled in Sweden to have any more chance of an engine oil leak than one assembled in Ghent, Belgium or for that matter one of the very few '98 70s assembled in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
If there were a problem associated with the body that might be useful, but absolutely the worst QC seems to be on the C70s, which are built in Sweden, albeit not in the same place as the SV70.
Also, I know where and exactly when my car was built, but most owners and posters here can't or won't decode the VIN.
I'm on my 3rd cabin temperature sensor going for my 4th. Last one I remember was made in Japan! Proving that even the Japanese can screw up!
