According to Volvospeed Bay 13 codes this may be a vacuum line problem. Check out this link http://www.volvospeed.com/DTC/a2_232.htm

The blinking up arrow may be the dreaded PNP switch. Was the car driving in "limp home mode" ie going very slow like it wouldn't start in 1st gear and shift?
