I changed my own brake pads for the first time on my 96 sedan only 2 weeks ago.

I can report that following the Volvospeed instructions it is indeed easy,
goes smoothly, and saved me a bunch of dough!

You get real messy from all that brake dust, and defintly get a C-clamp to
compress the piston, but go for it!
