I have run the Hak 1's on several different model volvos. 240 wagons, 940 wagons and 850 wagons. I have always purchased them studded. THEY WORK! I have driven my rwd 240 wagons into jobsites that others couldn't believe(or get their trucks into). My mother, sister, sister-in-law have all bought them since and are amazed at the traction and the wear life of the Haks. The stud design they use, the eco-stud, is shaped different from the usual stud shape, and it makes a less annoying noise on the road. I have usually ordered them from Greer Enterprises(no affiliation) in Wisconsin area and had them shipped in UPS. They know what their doing with the Nokians. I put 45-50K miles a year on my vehicles and my wife about 25-30K, so they get good use, sometimes abuse. My wife would not be without them. If you have a fair bit of snow and ice, You will not be disappointed with the tires.
