Blinker Shut off S70 1999

The turn signal shut off detent is in the center of the steering wheel's range. I haven't disected that mechanism, but I expect that it's keyed, so there's probably no way to adjust it. On the other hand, if your alignment is slightly off and your steering wheel isn't properly centered, I would expect that one direction or the other of steering wheel travel will not trip the shut off mechanism when you return the wheel to the straight ahead position. Tire pressure, tire wear and/or a pronounced crown in the road might also effect this.

Mine seems to work properly, but the single, centered-detent design is less desireable to me than the multiple detents that are designed into other cars that I've driven. On my Volvo, I regularly return the turn signal stalk to the off position manually.
