I’m trying to replace the coolant on my XC 2000. I found the drain plug but I’m wondering how to bleed the cooling system.
Some articles suggest loosening the thermostat housing, others loosening the coolant temperature sensor.
Why 3 questions are:
• What is the best method of bleeding the system? (Thermostat housing or temperature sensor)
• If loosening the housing is recommended, where is located exactly and what tools are needed to do the job? (I think it’s directly connected to the large cooling hose on top of the engine)
• If the temperature sensor is better, how do you get to it? It’s located below the large cooling fan in a really tight spot
I sincerely appreciate your assistance
