Brake lights stopped working 850 1997

I just did this on my '97 850. It was in my case a $30 part and really about a 5 minute job. Look at the brake pedal and follow it up into the lower dash area. Remove the lower cover of the dash for a clear look. There is a black switch with a white cap on it that hits the brake pedal shaft. It seems like a common part that fails. Once installed, push the pedal down and pull the switch out towards the pedal shaft to adjust it. It is ratcheting and will stay locked in position.
