Your rough idling and slow acceleration does not sound like a fuel pump relay problem. The relay problem causes sudden stalling.

Have you checked the engine mounts as a cause of the rough idling? I remember my steering wheel vibrated quite a bit when one or two of the engine mounts went bad. You may want to change the fuel filter if that hasn't been done.
