Sorry, it happend when downshifting to second gear. As soon as I had the car in gear, my foot slipped off the clutch and came flying out. I was going about 50 KM/H when it happened. I mentioned that in this thread too.
In answer to your other questions, Im not the orginal owner (second). The car was in a front end crash when it was new. An accident search said that the damamge to my car was 4500 CDN in 1994. I also had a very minor accident with it two weeks ago, but like I said it was VERY minor, and I dont even have 1000 damage to the car.
The dealer also said that hes never had to replace one, other than in an accident too. He did say that popping the clutch like that would be enough to break it. They are made to be sturdy, but to break in an accident, (I asked about having one made with stronger steal, and was told not to do that.)
Like I said, I have looked under the car, and nothing appears to be out of place or broken. I just find it funny that an engine mount can cause that much trouble in the steering. If you can think of anything else I should check, Id really appreciate it.
Thanks again,
Tony!!!
