the ac problem could be the notorious evaporator leak. this is common on early model 850's and is expensive to repair, it requires the dash being removed.

The head rebuild should no problem as long as it was done at a dealer with genuine parts.

Ask about the AC problem, and ask to see the service records from the engine work.
