Removing shifter knob! 850

Thanks for you help. I wanted to remove the shifter knob to re wrap the leather on it. I am painting some of the trim in the car to match the exterior, as well, I am planning on re-uphostering the seats, to match the trim.

Im thinking that Im not going to do the actual shifter, maybe Ill just do the boot. Id rather not take the chance of breaking it.
