I kind of hate to say it, because the stores are so horrible, but I had the best luck going to Toys R Us. They sell a lot of different kinds, and they let you try them in your car in the parking lot. That way you can really see the fit, etc. I suspect any other worthwhile store would also allow you to try them. Good luck.
