Power Steering S80 1999

Ok, I have a high tolerance for my '99 S80 T-6, but I am getting a little pissed off!!
I have been living with a defective ABS module for some time now(75K on the car). Today the message of the day... "Power Steering inop" or something like that! Yup, started getting a intermittent whine from the right side of the engine a few days ago and sure enough the msg. came with it today. The power steering also went out on me on several occasions today. How much will that cost to get repaired? Could I change out the unit myself? Also, does anybody have detailed instructions on how to remove the ABS module? Thank you in advance! Dave
