Trunk stuck !!! Help 850 1996

Here is the scoop:

A flat belt, the kind that attaches to backpacks, is stuck in the trunk lock latch. Now, I can't open the trunk, the key turns but the lever that opens the trunk is no longer effective.

I can get into the trunk by declining the back seats, but can't pull the belt out, it seems to be firmly stuck.

Any suggestions?
