Engine cutting out under hard acceleration S70

My '95 850 did this same thing when I would hit the accelerator hard. It had about 112,000 at the time and my mechanic said to change the plug wires and to replace the rotor and distributor cap. Did everything and it never came back.

FYI, don't really think it was the wires, but the rotor what burned bad. Barely had any metal on the tip.
