Cooling system maintenance 850 1995

3 months after doing a coolant flush and using prestone orange stuff, said it was ok for alum engines, napa guys said it was fine for volvo, i have a sweet coolant smell in cabin when heater is on anythign above very cool, it goes away in a fewminutes but is very strong and wasnt there before coolant flush. maybe just a coincidence i dont know but makes for a few unpleasant moments when car warms up in winter and heater is needed. I am assuming it is a cracked heater core. Lots of dash removal to get to it so i am waiting for something else to need replacing requiring a dash removal
