'93 850 Changer installation Problems 850

I had a response from another board as well that mentioned it took several tries with different brand adaptors until it worked. I also read some posts of people getting error messages when they hit the CD button, but I just get nothing.

The CD changer is an Alpine CHM-S630 and the stock head unit is SC-810.
