Sorry to hear your storie! Mine is close to being the same. I have a 2001 V70 that has been plagued by similar transmission problems, ET module problems, computer problems, locking problems, Mass airflow problems, Tire noise problems, etc. Half of which were covered under warrantee. The others were simply written off by the Volvo Dealer and NA as characteristically typical of the car. They simply out lasted my persistance. I have 75K on the car now and out of warrantee. I made a hugh mistake buying this car.

My advise to you...Take it back every week for the same problem that they cannot or will not fix. Document it thoroughly until you can sell it back to Volvo under your states LEMON LAW. If that is not an option, learn to love it like all the other late model Volvo owners out there that are in denile or have not considered the competition for years.
