(1994 850 nonturbo 114,000 miles)I have the exact same problem of the tick tick sound at idle, it just started this morning. I drove the car about 25 miles all day today and called my mechanic this afternoon to schedule an appointment. He also said it sounds like the lifters. I checked my oil this evening and to my utter horror there was no oil on the dip stick. I added two quarts and still nothing. Is my engine ruined? Can I just fix the lifters, and how much will this usually run?
