Central locking to tail gate V70-XC70 1999

It should lock with the other doors. Either the lock motor in the gate is bad or unplugged, or the wiring to it is damaged. The harness enters the gate from the left side, and is known to chafe at the hydraulic strut area under the roof trim panel.
