My 95 850 NA sedan with 90,000 miles has a Jekyl and Hyde personality. Over 40 degrees farenheit it runs like a charm, purring up and down hills with ease, shifting ever so smoothly. BUT, when the mercury dips to around 30 or so, the engine remains so but not the shifting. It hunts up and down and all around never seeming to be satisfied what gear it's it. It bucks, it sways, you could be doing 65 on the interstate and all of a sudden (with no extra throttle pressure, and on a flat surface) it shifts down up and down again.
Does anyone have a clue? 20,000 miles ago I had the tranny flushed, and as I said it ran like a top all summer and fall...till the thermometer fell.
