Sorry then,
Too hard to guess at. The thing that intrigues me is the stepping on the gas pedal to keep it running. I would think that if you had a hard failure M.A.F., that it would cause problems all the time.

You'll have to bite the bullet and have someone look at it.

If you can't afford to take your car to the dealer for trouble shooting, then sell it. Don't cry when the local shops can't deal with the technology anymore and you're tired of guessing at what parts to throw at it. .......Don't mind me, I'm frustrated.
