Whatever you do, I wouldn't drive the car until that piece is repaired. Strange break, indeed. While you're at it, if the bushing is going, I'd buy one from IPD...the new polyerathane bushing. If you drive it with the piece not supporting the engine you will damage the lower mounts too and then it means you have to lift the engine to replace them. Good luck and hope your new friend here has the bracket you need.
