Tailgate shock replacement 850

FYI, I did mine a couple of months ago with aftermarket(ScanTech) struts, and I'm less than impressed. Under 30 degrees, the tailgate still comes crashing down on my noggin'. Although the volvo struts are probably three times more expensive, there is a reason for that. When you do the job, also be careful of the wiring harness on the drivers side, as it can get crushed in there. I ended up running the harness under the strut. Best o' luck!
